Sky Bar - lebua at State Tower
Sky Bar rooftop at Lebua State Tower is on many first-time visitor's to-do lists. With a 360-degree view, there's a good reason this bar sees a steady flow of out-of-town guests. The round bar juts over the edge and, at 63 storeys high, it's the only place to be when the sun is setting over the Chao Phraya River.

Octave Rooftop Bar - Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit
Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok waited a long time for its very own rooftop bar, and then finally one came along and showed the rest of them how it should really be done. Octave Rooftop and Lounge is more than a place for watching the sunset or having a romantic meal. No rooftop bar in the city has a 360-degree view of Bangkok that matches this, and the top floor of this 3-level venue is the highest spot in the city for a party.

CRU Rooftop Champagne Bar
CRU Rooftop Bar Bangkok is the highest and certainly one of the fanciest rooftop bars in Bangkok. It serves some exclusive labels of G.H. Mumm Champagne, a snack menu of world delicacies and genuine 360-degree views.
Located above Centara Grand at CentralWorld, Cru Bangkok takes pride of place on the 59th floor (and quite literally on the rooftop) of the hotel. It has a more intimate and sophisticated feel than Red Sky below, with its own private lift and a chic, white-on-white design. There’s a large circular bar in the centre and a huge illuminated arch that changes colours throughout the night and gives photos some nice contrasts.
Location: Centara Grand at CentralWorld, 999/99 Rama 1 road, Phatumwan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
Open: Daily from 5 pm to 1 am
Phone: +66 (0)2 100 1234
Red Sky - Centara Grand at CentralWorld
While Red Sky doesn't offer a striking riverside view, it has a pretty impressive 360-degree panorama view from the 55th floor of one of the most convenient locations in town. If you visit Bangkok, chances are you'll end up shopping in the Siam area, where the largest and most trendy shopping malls of Bangkok are located, including Siam Paragon, MBK and CentralWorld. Being on top of the latter, Red Sky is a great place to round off a day of retail therapy.

Cielo Rooftop Skybar
Cielo Rooftop Skybar hits the right notes with a great view, affordable prices and plenty of front-row seats for the sunset. With so many rooftops in Bangkok, it’s important to stand out from the crowd, and although it has an out-of-the-way location and an uninspiring entrance via an apartment building, it’s worth a trip to see the 180-degree cityscape from the 46th floor.
Location: Cielo Sky Bar & Restaurant 46th Floor on Sky Walk Condominium, W District, Sukhumvit Road, Phra Khanong, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
Open: Daily from 5 pm to midnight

342 Bar - Baan Wanglang
This cute alfresco rooftop bar sits on top of Baan Wanglang Hotel on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River. Although you'll have to negotiate the ferry crossing to Wanglang Pier while using your best map-reading skills to find the place, the view from the modest 5th floor is quite superb. It's small, yet its semi-hidden location means it doesn't get too packed, so you can enjoy the views across the water to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in peace. There's also a good range of signature cocktails and bar snacks that won't give you a heart attack when the bill arrives.
Location: 342 Trok Watrakhang Alley, Siriraj, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok 10700, Thailand

Char Rooftop Bar at Indigo Hotel
Char bar on the 26th floor of the Indigo Hotel in Ploenchit might not be as large as most of its counterparts, but it has excelled at using the space wisely, with style and practicality, and even managed to create a certain sense of privacy.
You can sit in large comfortable loungers in one of the alcoves best described as ‘infinity salons’ or more uniquely, at the working station facing the growing cityscape of Bangkok. It's probably the best place to finish that last email with a glass of wine.
Location: 26th Floor, Hotel Indigo Bangkok, 81 Witthayu Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
Open: Daily from 6 pm to midnight

Bar9 at Novotel Platinum
Bar9 might not be very high – only 9 floors up – but it has a strategic location in the shopping heart of Bangkok, just between CentralWorld and Platinum Mall. The view is surprisingly nice and offers some interesting photo opportunities. Plus, what we like most is the chance to take a scenic break from the heat of a shopping day.
Drinks are not expensive and the place is supremely comfortable – a bit like sitting in a garden by the pool, suspended above the madness of the city.

Distil Rooftop Bar - lebua at State Tower

Comprised of an indoor seating area of comfy sofas, a circular bar, and an outdoor cigar terrace, this is a sophisticated place where guests can expect to sample some finer rarities that few other bars in Bangkok can boast: exclusive wines, cigars, rare whiskies, and resident DJs playing jazzy lounge house.

Open: Daily from 5 pm to 1 am

Long Table
Long Table is not quite sky-scraping, but what it lacks in stature it makes up for in every other area. It does this by serving Thai food that tastes delicious and looks amazing, cocktails that err on the right side of sweet and a view that makes you forget that this isn’t a rooftop.
An evening spent watching the sunset with a Bangkok Cosmopolitan in hand, followed by a 3-course meal enjoyed lounging in one of the cosy booths, makes Long Table one of the coolest sky bars in the city.
Location: 48 16 Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
Open: Daily from 5 pm to 2 am
Phone: +66 (0)2 302 2557
Speakeasy - Hotel Muse
The Speakeasy at Hotel Muse takes you back to the 1920s Prohibition-era when illicit liquor was rolled in the back door by mobsters and served in cleverly disguised underground clubs.
Thankfully, you won’t be breaking any laws at this speakeasy, but authentic touches like a bath full of cocktails in jam jars and cool jazz playing in the background keep the vibe unique and funky. With an interesting view over Sukhumvit and towards Sathorn, this rooftop is more unusual than most, but this isn’t just a skyline; the classic vintage cocktails are just as important as the view.
Location: 55 555 Langsuan, Lumphini, Pathum, Wan District, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
Phone: +66 (0)2 630 4000
The Roof @38th Bar - Mode Sathorn Hotel
The Roof @38th Bar at Mode Sathorn Hotel is easily identifiable by its mauve colour, way above the traffic jams and the little annoyances of big-city life. The rooftop is entirely open-sky, so not really an option on rainy days, but the feeling of being high up in the air is real and impressive. You can walk around the entire circumference of the tower and discover a superb 360-degree view of this part of Bangkok.
Location: 38th floor, Mode Sathorn Hotel, 144 North Sathorn Road, Silom, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand
